You're invited to volunteer for the 7th Annual South Shore Dockside Food and Wine Festival on Saturday, October 18th, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the South Shore Harbour Resort and Marina. This year's Festival is bigger and better than ever before - more wine, more food, more entertainment, more exhibitors and best of all, more fun!
In addition, we have expanded the Festival weekend to include the League City Rotary's Wine & Dine featuring an "Exciting Las Vegas Night!" on Friday, October 17th from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the South Shore Harbour Crystal Ballroom. In appreciation of your time, all Volunteers are invited to be our guest at the Wine & Dine. It's a great opportunity to mingle and get acquainted with other Festival participants, Volunteers, Chamber and Rotary Members and everyone who makes the Festival a great success every year. Wine Stewards
A Wine Steward serves wine to guests in one of four wine Pavilions. One hundred fourty-four positions are available in three shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., or 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Bartenders
A Bartender serves beer, water, and soft drinks in the Here's the Beer Pavilion, the East End Bar, or the West End Bar. Sixty positions are available in three shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., or 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Grape Stomp
Grape Stompers supervise the Grape Stomp competition. Five positions are available in one shift from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Ticket Sales
A Ticket Seller sells tickets and distributes wine glasses and punch tickets at the Main Gate, West Gate, or the Harbour Club Circle Gate. Thirty positions are available in three shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., or 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Check-in Sponsors and Exhibitors at the West Gate Festival Entrance. Five positions are available in one shift from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sponsor & Exhibitor Registration on Saturday
Check-in Sponsors and Exhibitors at the West Gate Festival Entrance. Five positions are available in one shift from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Volunteer Registration
Volunteers checking in Volunteers at the Volunteer Tent prior to their shift. Five positions are available in one shift from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Roadies - Load In on Friday & Saturday and Load Out on Saturday
A Roadie assists Sponsors, Exhibitors and Staff in setting up the Festival. Six positions are available in one shift on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., six in one shift on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and six in one shift on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Stage Hands
Stage Hands assist the bands on the Main Festival Stage or the East Stage. Two positions are available in two shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
